National Tile Week, sponsored by British Ceramic Tile, set to return for a third year running

Now in its third consecutive year, National Tile Week plans to make a big impact on the industry during its 2018 exhibition.

The three-week long campaign will celebrate the tiles and surfaces industry, by demonstrating their versatility in a variety of projects and offering ideas on their creative application in renovations and interior design developments, of both a residential and commercial nature. Alongside these imaginative projects, National Tile Week will host a series of talks that discuss the latest trends sweeping through the design world and dispel some common myths about tiles, while simultaneously sharing practical tips and solutions for interior spaces.

The National Tile Week project is fronted by interiors guru and TV Personality, Julia Kendall, whom, for the second year running, will be present to offer trade, press and consumer visitors alike key advice on using tiles, and raising awareness of the practical and aesthetic benefits of them. Kendall will also be sure to draw a crowd of consumer interest, thanks to the national radio campaign she’ll be leading – offering top tips to homeowners across the UK on their renovation projects – and will ‘kick off’ proceedings with a Facebook Live Q+A event on Monday 9th April.

Julia Kendall commented: “Ceramic tiles are becoming the go-to choice for a number of reasons. Water and dirt-resistant, they tick all the practical boxes for busy homes and ceramic is the perfect partner to under-floor heating. Offering an unrivalled decorative finish, they can be used to complement the key looks for this year. I am delighted to be supporting NTW 2018 to help raise awareness of the versatility of tiles. Today’s choice of tiles is vast and I am keen to champion this fabulous surface material!”

Sponsor and leading tile brand, British Ceramic Tile, will also be putting the event to good use by launching its latest design, the Feature Floors Harmony collection, during the exhibition. Designed to sit seamlessly alongside the HD Harmony range, the new feature tile boasts a marble-like aesthetic, with subtle white veining set against a grey or dark grey backdrop. British Ceramic Tile will also offer a number of exclusive promotions, to run concurrently with National Tile Week.

British Ceramic Tile’s Head of Spec Marketing, Liam Poole, spoke of the event: “National Tile Week is all about celebrating what a fantastic surface covering they are for projects of all shapes and sizes. Tiles today are much more than a practical solution, instead they bring texture, colour, pattern and the latest trends to your walls and floors creating some truly wow designs. Cost effective, easy to install and super stylish, everyone can make the ordinary, extraordinary with the simple addition of wall and floor tiles.”
