Grand Designs Live is returning to Birmingham for its 13th year with an impressive line-up

Hosted by Kevin McCloud, the 13th edition of the Birmingham Grand Designs Live exhibition is set to commence this year from the 11th – 13th October 2017. Breaking down the boundaries between home building, interior design, the garden and technology, the show will offer visitors a chance to review and experience the latest innovations, hottest trends and preview yet-to-be-launched products.

Over the five days, McCloud will be joined at Birmingham’s National Exhibition Centre by industry experts from the fields of building, kitchens, bathrooms, technology, gardens and interiors, who will present informative and interactive seminars at The Grand Theatre, alongside appearing in the popular Ask an Expert section, which will be making a return appearance.

Alongside these fascinating features, other hotly anticipated attractions include the Kitchen Advice Centre, which is sponsored by Miele and allows visitors to book 30-minute consultations that focus on all aspects of kitchen planning. Miele is also supporting the Live Kitchen area, where top chefs are on hand to inspire and amazing – showing visitors the true potential of a range of kitchen appliances in live demonstrations. Kevin’s Green Heroes is not only earmarked to be a popular event, but also allies with the current ‘lean towards green’, as McCloud showcases his hand-picked selection of the most innovative and eco-friendly products and the top trends in green technology. And, of course, we’re set to see a mass selection of room sets from the biggest and best names in the industry.

Newly appointed editor of Grand Designs – the self-build magazine publication extension of the TV franchise – Karen Stylianides, commented: “Grand Designs Live is the ultimate event for anyone considering a renovation, self-build, conversion, extension or home update project. There’s a wealth of ideas, expert tips and the latest innovative designs all under one roof. It’s a truly unmissable source of inspiration and advice.”
