Gorenje unveil new product at IFA 2017 along with virtual reality and more

Kitchen appliance manufacturer, Gorenje, brought a sound shower, Virtual Reality (VR) zip line ride, candy shop, photo booth and Ana – the Gorenje BOT, to IFA 2017.

Exhibiting on a 923 sqm stand, the Slovenia-headquartered firm showcased a number of products, including cookers, hoods, refrigerators, ovens, hobs, dishwashers, washers, dryers and small domestic appliances. In addition, models from its design lines, including Retro, Ora Ito and Starck, were on show too. The main attraction of the stand, which Gorenje shared with sister brand Asko, was its yet-to-launch induction hob, washing/drying appliances and brand new built-in cooling models. Visitors to the stand also got a glimpse of the Retro Special Edition refrigerator, inspired by the famous VW camper van, the next generation of Ora-ïto lines and the brand-new colourways for the Retro Collection.

Richard Mackey, product manager at Gorenje UK, said: “IFA is one of the key dates in our diary and provides us with the opportunity to showcase new lines and everything the brand stands for. As a manufacturer of energy-efficient, eye-catching products, the exhibition is the perfect place to demonstrate our design and production credentials to show what we’re made of. It was great to see people’s reactions to our stand and getting feedback on the new products in the pipeline.”
