Kährs Oak Ydre is a contemporary-rustic floor from Kährs exclusive Småland Collection. It has a dynamic timber surface with a unique composition of knots, graining and cracks. Brushing, smoking and handscraping treatments add depth to the natural tone and lively timber grain, and a bevelled edge adds definition to the one-strip ‘plank’ format. The striking design is finished with a tactile nature oil prefinish, which complements its mellow brown tone, with its hints of camel and taupe.
All floors within the collection are made in Sweden, where Kährs was founded in 1857. They are crafted from sustainable oak, sourced from the same Swedish woodlands. As well as providing eco-benefits, this method also creates greater stability and enables the floor to be installed over underfloor heating.
